The Three Rivers Water Festival kicks off today with the parade scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight, weather permitting.

Last year’s parade featured 70 entries including entries from local businesses and organizations, two marching bands, local sports teams, classic tractors and candidates for local office. This year’s theme “TR Goes for the Gold” coincides with the 2024 Summer Olympic Games.

In addition to the parade, locals can enjoy a variety of other activities, including a car show, carnival rides, food vendors, live music and a fireworks display. Two new features have been added this year: a “Silent Disco,” sponsored by Riverside Church, and the addition of judging of parade participants.
