Kalamazoo FFE board accepting volunteer applications

Applications are now available for a volunteer position on the Kalamazoo Foundation for Excellence (FFE) board of directors representing Affinity Organizations.​ They will be accepted through Wednesday, July 31.

The FFE seeks volunteers to serve on the 15-member board, which includes city officials, community members, and business leaders. The board is responsible for overseeing the organization’s operations and making recommendations to the Kalamazoo City Commission on how to allocate funding for projects and initiatives that are in the best interest of the community.

The Affinity Organizations stakeholder position is open to Kalamazoo residents who represent an organization whose mission or purpose is to advocate for and/or provide supportive services to local families and individuals.

The initial term of the volunteer position is September 23, 2024, through May 31, 2026. There is the opportunity to renew for one additional three-year term.

Online applications are open from July 1, 2024, until 11:59 p.m. ET on July 31, 2024. The application takes about 10 minutes to complete.​
