Stolen vehicle recovered, driver arrested in Three Rivers

A man is facing multiple charges including receiving and/or concealing a stolen vehicle following his arrest in Three Rivers Monday night, according to the Three Rivers Police Department.

The vehicle’s license plate was reportedly scanned by an automated license plate reader (Flock), and was later located in front of a business on the 200 block of US-131 in Three Rivers. Police say the vehicle was reported stolen out of Elkhart County (Indiana), the driver had a warrant for motor vehicle theft out of 3B District Court in Centreville, and was on parole with the Michigan Department of Corrections.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered approximately 13 grams of what they suspect to be methamphetamine.

The driver is currently lodged at St. Joseph County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, receiving or concealing a stolen vehicle, and the aforementioned outstanding warrant.
