Bourbon, bacon, blues & axe throwing in Sturgis tonight

The Sturgis Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is hosting the fifth annual Bourbon, Bacon, and Blues event tonight from 5:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the North Street Promenade in downtown Sturgis.

The event will feature a variety of blues music from the Alex Mays Band and Out of Favor Boys while also allowing attendees to sample six different Bourbon tastings from over 10 different distillers. Food trucks and axe throwing will also be part of the fun.

A tasting package costs $47 on the day of the event. There is also an add-on for gate entry. Those looking to purchase a single pour of bourbon can do so for $10.

Participating distillers include: Sazerac by Buffalo Trace, Journeyman, Green Door Distilling, Two James Spirits, New Holland, Coppercraft, Grand Traverse Distillery, Iron FIsh, Hotel Tango, Brown-Forman Distillery, Ugly Dog Distillery, and Mammoth Distilling.

Admission:

  • Adults 21 and older only for tasting packages and drink tickets.
  • Kids 12 and under are admitted free.
  • All purchases are final and tickets are non-refundable.
