Three Rivers market offers local produce, baked goods, and more

Opening day for the 2024 Huss Project Farmer’s Market (1008 8th St.) is tomorrow, Saturday, June 1 in Three Rivers. So throw on some flip-flops, a pair of shades, and grab your loudest canvas bag because farmer’s market season is here, people.

This is the fifth season of the market at Huss, which will run every Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., June through September, providing a weekly source for local produce for residents of Three Rivers and surrounding areas.

This Saturday will feature an assortment of spring produce including greens, rhubarb, green onions, and radishes as well as a few veggie seedlings, according to the Huss Project’s Margaret Wenger. Other items like baked goods, maple syrup, frozen meat, dog treats, and more will also be available.

Coffee (purchased by donation) will be served indoors, where a used book sale will take place each week. The Huss Farm will be open for folks who’d like to walk around, and the children’s area will be open with options for outdoor play for young market goers.

There will also be live music, food trucks, art vendors, and other special events on the Second Saturday of each month.

“This is our fifth season running the market at Huss,” Wenger said, “and we’re excited for another great year as we grow the community that we’ve been building around local food.”
