Local meeting primer: Three Rivers City Commission

The Three Rivers City Commission will meet Tuesday, July 2 at 6 p.m. for its regularly scheduled meeting at Three Rivers City Hall (333 W. Michigan Ave.).

Tuesday’s agenda, which includes discussion on the Michigan CLASS investment option, can be found below. For a full accounting of it, visit the city’s website.

“Michigan CLASS is a stable $1.00 NAV local government investment pool offering daily liquidity that is better suited for your everyday funds,” Three Rivers Director of Finance/Administration Bobbi Schoon wrote. “Michigan CLASS strives to earn a competitive rate of return while maintaining liquidity and preserving capital. Michigan CLASS offers no limit on transactions and no transaction fees.”

As of Monday, July 1, no financial impact information was available. It is recommended to approve a resolution to authorize Schoon to complete the necessary paperwork to enroll in the pool, and approve the addition of Michigan CLASS to the City of Three Rivers’ investment policy.
