A 20-year-old Edwardsburg woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash that happened at about 8:47 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Hospital Street and M 60 in Jefferson Township, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

Breanna Kowalczyk had been stopped at a stop sign at the intersection, but lost control of her vehicle. She drove into a wooded lot on the west side of M 60, the statement said. Kowalczyk was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The Cassopolis police and fire departments, Pokagon Tribal Police, and SMCAS Ambulance service assisted the sheriff’s office with the investigation.
