One person was injured after a two-vehicle crash in Volinia Township on Tuesday, July 9, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Jocylyn Ann Vanfleeren, 43, South Bend, was driving northbound on Decatur Road near Marcellus Highway when she failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a westbound vehicle, police said.

Charles Jason Beard, 57, Three Rivers, was taken to Borgess Lee Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the crash. Police said both Vanfleeren and Beard were wearing seatbelts. Alcohol did not appear to been a factor in the crash.

The crash is currently under investigation. The Wayne Township Fire Department and SMCAS were also at the scene.
