Cass County motorcycle crash injures Indiana man

A 56-year-old South Bend, Indiana, man was injured in a motorcycle crash that happened at approximately 6:32 a.m. Thursday in Jefferson Township, Cass County.

The sheriff’s office’s investigation showed that a motorcycle driven by Isaac Hunt was going around a curve when he lost control in foggy conditions and laid the bike down on the pavement.

Hunt was transported to Borgess Lee Dowagiac Hospital for injuries sustained in the traffic crash. Agencies at the scene were the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Cassopolis Fire Department, and SMCAS Ambulance.

“Alcohol was not a factor in the crash and Hunt was not wearing a helmet,” the sheriff’s office stated. “The crash remains under investigation.”
