Vacancies are available on several boards or committees in Sturgis, as well as a board affecting all of St. Joseph County.

The St. Joseph County Commission on Aging (COA) is looking for an interested citizen to join the COA Advisory Board. This group meets six times annually and provides leadership, consultation, and assistance to the COA staff.

Potential advisors should call the COA at 269-279-8083 and ask to speak to Finance Manager Britt Buscher. You can also stop by either COA Enrichment Center to pick up a Citizen Interest Form. There are centers at 306 N. Franks Ave. in Sturgis and 1200 W. Broadway St. in Three Rivers.

Sturgis itself has vacancies with the Sturges-Young Center for the Arts Board, Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Board of Directors, Cemetery Board, Elected Officials Compensation Committee, and the Zoning Board of Appeals.
