Kalamazoo begins counting absentee ballots

Kalamazoo began counting absentee ballots for the statewide primary election on Thursday, August 1, the city announced.

A second day of processing and tabulating absentee ballots was scheduled for 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, August 2. The first day included the counting of 1,335 ballots.

Kalamazoo City Hall is the location for the absentee ballot tabulation.

There will be eight election inspectors on hand to assist with the counting of ballots.
