One male juvenile was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a UTV crashed on Brush Lake Road in Pokagon Township, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported Sunday.

The crash occurred on the dirt road portion of Brush Lake Road at approximately 2:37 p.m. Sunday. A male juvenile who has not been identified was driving a UTV. He lost control on the rocks of the road and rolled the UTV onto its top.

The driver was not injured. A passenger in the UTV, another male juvenile who has not been identified, was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. He is expected to recover.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Indian Lake Fire and Eau Claire Fire were called to the scene, along with Pokagon Tribal Police, Michigan State Police, Berrien County Sheriff’s Department and Medic 1 Ambulance.
