The Kalamazoo City Commission will meet tonight, Monday, for business including recognitions of Ageism Awareness Day, Imagine a Day Without Water, and Juvenile Justice Awareness Month.

The meeting begins at 5 p.m. with a Committee of the Whole meeting, featuring discussions on Kalamazoo’s 2024 economic development strategy and the draft 2025 Foundation for Excellence budget and related grants, followed by a regular business meeting at 7 p.m.

During the regular business meeting, the commission will discuss ordinances pertaining to pedestrian safety in work zones and the obstruction of pedestrian or vehicular traffic.
