The Kalamazoo City Commission will meet tonight, Monday, for a committee of the whole meeting at 5 p.m. and a regular business meeting at 7 p.m.

The business meeting will include discussing a contract extension with SNR Technologies for wastewater treatment services, along with recognitions of

• Lights On After School
• World Polio Day
• Kalamazoo Institute of Arts’ 100th anniversary
• National First Responders Day

The contract with SNR, totaling $1,224,000 and in effect for 2024-2025, would secure the supply of powder activated carbon essential for wastewater treatment.

In addition to the contract discussion, the commission will hold a 5 p.m. committee of the whole meeting. It will feature a presentation on the progress of a draft HUD five-year consolidated plan.
