As freezing temperatures continue to envelop the Three Rivers area, a group of hardworking volunteers has already begun to plan the 2022 65th annual Three Rivers Water Festival.

She pulled out a calculator, did some math, and then she put the calculator up to her ear and started talking to herself. ‘Oh s**t,’ I thought. She’s lost it.”
Colon Downtown Development Authority recently announced it’s making big moves to drive visitors with a new website and branding done by Circa Design. DDA members say the milestone is a major move for Colon on its mission to bring the “Magic Capital of the World” back into the national spotlight.

New hours for the free COVID-19 testing and vaccine clinics at Glen Oaks Community College are Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. through December 14.
The United Community Assistance Program (UCAP) expresses its thanks for a generous donation recently made by the International Paper Company of Three Rivers.

Students at Glen Oaks Community College will travel to Italy for the 2022 Study Abroad tour, and those in the community who may be interested in joining along are welcome. During the 12-day excursion, the group will visit Venice, Florence, Pompeii, Sorrento, Assisi and Rome.
The Glen Oaks Community College Foundation is accepting scholarship applications from new and returning Glen Oaks students for the 2022-23 academic year.
Glen Oaks Community College plans to celebrate two campus projects in an event called “Transformation X2,” on Thursday, November 11 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Thanks to the generosity of several area entities, the Welding Technology Lab on the Glen Oaks Community College campus is being totally renovated.
High schools seniors planning to attend college Glen Oaks Community College are encouraged to apply now for the President’s and Dean’s Scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year.
The event is free and open to anyone in the community.
