The Three Rivers Board of Education recently honored several winter sports athletes for their outstanding performance during the season.
Students from the Girls’ Bowling Team, Boys’ Bowling Team, and the Wresting Team were honored during Monday’s school board meeting. They were recognized for their individual accomplishments as well as for the team’s success.
The girls’ bowling team won the Wolverine Conference, D-3 Regional Championships, and were in the MHSAA D-2 Final Four. The boys’ bowling team was recrecognized for their individual accomplishments as two athletes were state qualifiers, with one of them being named second team All-State.
The wrestling team took home the Wolverine Conference championship, the D-2 District championship, and appeared in the MHSSA D-2 Final Eight.

On Sunday, March 10, around 30 IBEW workers, including representatives of KEI electrical construction and Perkins Electric, gathered in Three Rivers to provide free, professional support to those in need.
“We heard our neighbors needed help cleaning up after the storm, so I decided to ask my union brothers and sisters to come lend a hand,” IBEW 131 President Eddie Leboeuf said.
