Local meeting primer: St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners

The St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners will meet at 5 p.m. today, Monday, in the Commission Room of the Historic Courthouse, 125 W. Main St., Centreville. The meeting will take place in the Commission Room of the Historic Courthouse, located at 125 W. Main St., Centreville.

The agenda includes two items under new business, including approving the appointment of Christina Yunker as District 5’s county commissioner. Yunker will fill the vacancy created by Dennis Allen’s resignation, for a period from Friday, November 1, until the new term officially begins.
A closed session is also scheduled to take place. The session will include discussion of a written legal opinion exempt from disclosure under the attorney-client privilege and section 13(1)(g) of the Freedom of Information Act, according to Monday’s agenda.
