Local meeting primer: Three Rivers Community Schools Board of Education
Twenty-nine student athletes who took part in varsity boys cross country and varsity volleyball will be recognized tonight.
The Three Rivers Community Schools Board of Education will meet tonight, Monday, at 6 p.m. for their regular meeting.
The meeting will include recognition of fall sports athletes. Three Rivers’ varsity boys cross country team were conference champions and regional runner-up performers, also ranking 12th at the D-2 State Finals. The varsity volleyball team received conference and district champion honors. Twenty-nine student athletes will be acknowledged tonight.

Tonight’s meeting will be in the district training room of the Three Rivers Community Schools office, 851 Sixth Ave. in Three Rivers.

If lawmakers pursue changes, they could alter where and how notices are published, potentially shifting some requirements away from newspapers. However, state Rep. Sarah Lightner (R-Springport) has said she is not seeking to eliminate public notice requirements altogether.
Three Rivers Area Community Foundation awards $20,000 grant to St. Joseph County United Way for tornado recovery
Together with support from the Sturgis Area Community Foundation (SACF), a combined $20,000 grant has been awarded to the St. Joseph County United Way to assist individuals and families impacted by the storm.
