White Pigeon, Three Rivers win St. Joseph County ISD Quiz Bowl tournaments
White Pigeon High School and Three Rivers Middle School finished first in their respective St. Joseph County ISD Quiz Bowl tournaments.
White Pigeon High School and Three Rivers Middle School finished first in their respective St. Joseph County ISD Quiz Bowl tournaments.
The annual Quiz Bowl tournaments were held on February 26 & 27. Area schools brought a total of nine high school and eight middle school teams to compete. Teams prepared by studying a variety of subjects including literature and language arts, science, mathematics, social sciences, and more.
The competition began with four team rounds and proceeded with head-to-head toss up rounds. When teams tie, the number of head-to-head rounds won determines placement. At the end of the tournaments, the following teams came out on top:
High School
1st Place – White Pigeon with 138 points
2nd Place – Centreville with 90 points and 7 rounds won
3rd Place – Sturgis with 90 points and 5 rounds won
Middle School
1st Place – Three Rivers with 106 points
2nd Place – Howardsville Christian with 102 points
3rd Place – Sturgis with 89 points
