Farrand Hall is setting up shop in downtown Three Rivers for one day only, bringing a spread of its signature pastries and breads to 15 N. Main St. on Saturday, September 6. The pop-up bakery will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Owner James Gray said the team will transform an empty building into a temporary storefront, with tables filled with the same items guests find at their main location. “People will buy just like they would at the main location,” Gray said.
On the menu: cinnamon rolls, cream buns, pear caramel tarts, cookies, zucchini date bread, focaccia bread, and granola.

Gray said the idea to host the event in Three Rivers came naturally. “We have a lot of guests from the Three Rivers area and also just really love the historic downtown,” he said. “We see work being done to revitalize that area and we think Farrand Hall would be a part of that in a small way.”
For Gray, the pop-up is about more than selling pastries. “We really want the brand of Farrand Hall to be special to this region,” he said. “A brand that people can really get behind because of our mission of creating meaningful jobs, economic impact, and bringing something really special to the area.”
As of now, the event is planned as a one-time offering, but Gray said they’ll be watching closely to see how the community responds. “If it goes really well then we will definitely do it again,” he said. “Part of this pop-up is research to see if a stand-alone location of the bakery and café might make sense in the area.”
Gray encouraged customers to pre-order by emailing bakery@farrandhall.com to make sure they don’t miss out. “We expect to be busy and could sell out quickly,” he said. “We don’t want people to be disappointed, so get those pre-orders in.”
He added that support from the Three Rivers Downtown Development Authority and local residents has already made the team feel welcome. “We are really thankful that the Three Rivers DDA and members of the community are supporting our presence in the community,” Gray said. “We are eager to be there on Saturday.”
