Six protestors spoke on behalf of Brittany Shank during Tuesday’s St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners meeting. They included her mother, Jessica Rolfe.

Tuesday marked 2,146 days since Shank, then 23, disappeared on November 30, 2018. Earlier this month, the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office released two components of its investigation into the case. On Tuesday, each protester said his or her own version of the following:

“I am here to request your voices to help put pressure on the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office to give Brittany Wallace Shank’s case fully to the Michigan State Police. What if this was your daughter? It has now been 2,146 days, and it is time to give her case to some new eyes. I am begging you, please, do whatever you can, please press this case to be moved forward. Thank you.”

Speaking on behalf of Greg Wallace, Brittany’s father, Jackie Milliman announced a peaceful protest beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 26 in Centreville. It will begin at the county courthouse and continue to the county sheriff’s department.

“This is a great opportunity for you to show the community, those ones who have elected you to help our voices be heard, that you too believe that 2,146 days is too long,” Milliman said.
