“This is a great opportunity to bring people together and build community support,” said Naomi Ludman, chair of the Cass County Democratic Party. “We’re especially excited to welcome Chair Hertel, who will be there to run and talk with residents about how the state party plans to support local races in Cass County and across Michigan.”

Billed as a “friendraiser,” the event is open to the public. Runners can register for $40, which includes a commemorative “Run Like a Blue Streak” t-shirt. Walkers can join for $20. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers.

Attendees can also enjoy a BBQ truck and Sweet Snack Bar offering picnic lunch options and take-home meals.
