Farrand Hall’s longest running event — which began the same year it opened, 2017 — is its Guest Chef series where they invite top chefs from all across the country giving them a space to cultivate and share their food.

Farrand Hall is setting up shop in downtown Three Rivers for one day only, bringing a spread of its signature pastries and breads to 15 N. Main St. on Saturday, September 6. The pop-up bakery will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Kalamazoo’s Democracy Fest to bring ‘Power in the Park’ this weekend

The event, themed “Power in the Park!”, is organized by Indivisible Greater Kalamazoo and Paw Paw Indivisible — two local chapters of the national Indivisible.org network. Lead organizer Ken Greschak said the festival is a direct response to “efforts to dismantle our nation’s democratic institutions and to defund critical federal programs and services.”
