Motorcyclist airlifted following crash in Florence Twp.

A 28-year-old White Pigeon man was airlifted to Bronson Hospital after crashing his motorcycle on Lutz near Mintdale Road in Florence Township just after midnight Wednesday.

A 28-year-old White Pigeon man was airlifted to Bronson Hospital after crashing his motorcycle on Lutz near Mintdale Road in Florence Township just after midnight Wednesday.

Floyd Parker was driving his motorcycle southbound on Lutz Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control and crashed. When deputies from the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department arrived on scene Parker was found in the roadway “breathing but not conscious.” Parker was treated by LifeCare EMS and flown to Bronson Hospital by AirCare. Speed and alcohol were both factors in the crash.

Assisting agencies included White Pigeon Police Department, LifeCare EMS, Constantine Fire Department, Michigan State Police, and AirCare.
