Sheriff’s department investigating suspicious fires in Nottawa Twp.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department is looking for more information regarding two suspicious structure fires in Nottawa Township.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department is looking for more information regarding two suspicious structure fires in Nottawa Township.

Deputies were dispatched to the 60000 block of Railroad St. in Nottawa Township early Friday morning around 1 a.m. for a report of two buildings on fire. Once at the scene deputies found two “shed type structures” fully engulfed in flames, and a third structure containing materials needed to start a fire.

Assisting at the scene were the Centreville Fire Department and the Sturgis Police Department. Anyone with information regarding this incident are be asked to contact the St. Joseph Sheriff’s Department.
