The Three Rivers Police Department is asking anyone with more information regarding a body located behind a residence on Middle Street to contact them.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Middle Street at approximately 6:12 a.m. Friday, for a report of a deceased subject found behind a house. According to the police department, officers who arrived on the scene confirmed that the subject was beyond medical care.

“Due to the circumstances surrounding the incident, the St. Joseph Major Crime Task Force was activated and responded to the scene,” the Three Rivers Police Department stated Friday. “The deceased subject was transported to WMed for identification and examination.”

As of Friday evening, the deceased has not been identified. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Three Rivers Police Department at 269-278-1235 or St. Joseph County Dispatch at 269-467-4195.
