Motorcyclist dies Saturday in Cass County

Speed appears to have been a factor in the crash, police said. It’s unknown if alcohol and drugs were also factors.

A 22-year-old Granger, Indiana, man died after he lost control of his motorcycle and hit multiple trees, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office stated.

The man was traveling north on Dailey Road in Jefferson Township, Cass County, just north of Jefferson Center Street. He lost control of his motorcycle to the right at approximately 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

The motorcycle came to rest down an embankment after hitting multiple trees, the sheriff’s office stated. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.

The crash is currently under investigation. Edwardsburg Ambulance and Cass Fire also responded to the scene.
