The Southcentral Michigan Planning Council (SMPC) is hosting a public meeting at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Centreville. Citizens can attend to comment on the selection and prioritization of 2026’s federal aid projects within the Sturgis Small Urban boundary.

The meeting will be held at the St. Joseph County Road Commission, 20914 M-86, Centreville.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) distributes federal aid money to local agencies. Small Urban task forces prioritize the use of federal aid funds on road and transit projects within urban areas with populations of 5,000-50,000.

Meeting materials will be posted to the SMPC’s website’s transportation page.
