Kalamazoo hosting annual ‘December to Remember’ event

Attendees can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and holiday lights while supplies last. It starts Thursday, December 12, at Bronson Park.

Kzoo Parks will host its fourth annual “December to Remember” event from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, December 12, at Bronson Park. The free event offers holiday activities for people of all ages.

Attendees can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and holiday lights while supplies last. The first 300 guests will get a holiday craft bag containing ornament crafts, winter puzzles, and a coloring book with crayons. Children 10 and under can choose a free toy from donations collected at the Tree Lighting Ceremony. Gift wrapping paper will be available for purchase.

Children can drop off letters to Santa in his mailbox or write letters at the event. Santa will respond to letters with a return address within seven days. A letter template is available at www.kzooparks.org/december.

The Downtown Kalamazoo Holly Jolly Trolley will offer free rides from 5-9 p.m. around downtown, including a stop on the Kalamazoo Mall near Santa’s visit at the City Centre (125 S Kalamazoo Mall) from 5-8 p.m.

The event is supported by Kalamazoo Valley Museum. While geared towards families with children, all community members are welcome. The event ends at 6:30 p.m. or when supplies last.
