The Glen Oaks Community College Board of Trustees has approved a new two-year contract with the Glen Oaks Support Staff Employees (GOSSE), introducing wage increases, updated policies, and improved equity measures for employees. The agreement, which takes effect February 2, 2025, aims to modernize compensation and benefits for the college’s support staff.
The contract includes several key updates, such as pay increases for current employees, a new pay scale with broader wage ranges and classifications based on a recent compensation study, modernized insurance and tuition assistance policies that reflect current plan options and benefits, and equitable shift premiums across all GOSSE positions.
“We appreciate the collaborative efforts of the negotiating teams in finalizing this agreement,” said Dr. Bryan Newton, president of Glen Oaks Community College. “This contract reflects our shared commitment to supporting staff, strengthening operations, and providing a fair and modern work environment.”
