Three Rivers Water Festival returns Thursday with parade kicking off three days of events

The annual Three Rivers Water Festival returns Thursday, June 18, bringing three days of community events, family activities, and summer celebrations to downtown Three Rivers and Scidmore Park.
The festival begins later Thursday evening with the annual Water Festival Parade at 7 p.m., marking the official start of the long-running community tradition. Carnival rides and food vendors will be available throughout the weekend as festival activities continue through Saturday.

Here’s a look at what’s happening throughout the weekend:
Thursday, June 18
The festival opens Thursday, with the highlight being the Water Festival Parade at 7 p.m., which will travel through downtown Three Rivers later in the evening. Food vendors and carnival rides will also begin operating as festivities get underway.
Friday, June 19
Festival activities continue Friday with arts and crafts booths opening at Scidmore Park, where vendors will be set up throughout the day. Young racers ages 7 to 13 can also participate in the Soap Box Derby, one of the festival’s annual featured competitions.
Saturday, June 20
Saturday brings the busiest slate of activities, beginning with a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. and a classic car show starting at 9 a.m.
Families can visit the free Kid Zone from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Scidmore Park, while community members can also take part in the annual Duck Race at 2 p.m., a fundraiser supporting Three Rivers Promise, with tickets available for $5 per duck or five ducks for $20.
The festival wraps up Saturday evening with live entertainment on the Water Festival Stage from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., followed by the annual fireworks show at dusk.
The Three Rivers Water Festival is organized by the Three Rivers Area Chamber of Commerce and has become one of the city’s signature summer traditions, drawing residents and visitors each year for a weekend centered on community celebration and family-friendly activities.
