Sturgis Area Community Foundation launches search for next executive director
According to the Sturgis Area Community Foundation, the incoming executive director will oversee strategic planning, donor and community relationships, and efforts focused on economic opportunity, well-being and inclusive community development.
SACF serves Sturgis and surrounding communities in St. Joseph County through grants, scholarships and partnerships supporting nonprofits, students and community initiatives. The organization said it manages more than $50 million in assets.

Sturgis Area Community Foundation has launched a search for its next executive director, seeking a community-focused leader to guide the organization through its next phase of growth.
The foundation serves Sturgis and surrounding communities in St. Joseph County through grants, scholarships and partnerships supporting nonprofits, students and community initiatives. The organization said it manages more than $50 million in assets.
“It is an exciting time at the Community Foundation as it expands to serve the entirety of St. Joseph County,” said Erin Melchi-Baker, chair of the board of trustees and search committee.
“With a continued focus on child care, housing, community development and education, our next executive director will be charged with continuing these initiatives,” Melchi-Baker said. “The Foundation looks forward to partnering with Kittleman & Associates to find our next executive director to lead the organization in the years to come.”

The executive director will work with the board of trustees and staff to expand philanthropic engagement, strengthen nonprofit partnerships and manage the foundation’s assets.
The foundation has retained Kittleman & Associates to assist with the search. The firm recruits executive directors and CEOs for nonprofit organizations nationwide.
