Glen Oaks Community College to host Discovery Day to address future workforce needs

The event will bring together experts from business, education, and healthcare to discuss key workforce trends and opportunities

Glen Oaks Community College will host Discovery Day on Friday, February 28, an event aimed at evaluating the future workforce needs of St. Joseph County. 

According to a press release, this initiative is part of the college’s strategic planning efforts to analyze regional employment trends and identify ways to better support the local community, businesses, and workforce in the coming years.

The event will bring together experts from business, education, and healthcare to discuss key workforce trends and opportunities.

“Discovery Day is an opportunity to engage with key stakeholders and learn how Glen Oaks can continue to support and strengthen the workforce pipeline in our community,” said Dr. Bryan Newton, President of Glen Oaks Community College. “By collaborating with local business, education, and healthcare leaders, we can align our programs with the region’s needs and ensure students are prepared for the careers of tomorrow.”

The event will take place on the Concourse at Glen Oaks Community College and will feature multiple panel discussions covering workforce development, education alignment, and industry trends.
