Local meeting primer: St. Joseph County Board to meet tonight

The St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday, May 20 at 5 p.m. at the Historic Courthouse to consider a series of staffing changes, contracts, and a proposed partnership with a neighboring county.

One of the main agenda items is a plan to integrate digital information departments between St. Joseph and Van Buren counties. Commissioners will also vote on several personnel requests, including hiring a part-time deputy clerk and changing the status of the Early Vote Coordinator position. Additional motions include a contract addendum with the Barton Group, a new AXON Justice Premier+ Program agreement, and approval of a replacement vehicle for Veteran’s Affairs.
