Background/bio

Three Rivers high school graduate, served four years in the United States Navy and 30 years in the Rv industry.

Why are you running for the office of Three Rivers City Commissioner?

at the time when I first started it was mainly because no one else would step up to the plate and run for the office and I felt that somebody that lived in the neighborhood should at least be representing it and not somebody appointed from another neighborhood.

Have you previously held public office, or have you served in a public leadership role? If so, what is your experience, and what are some of your accomplishments?

only my previous experience on the commission.

If not, describe any experience — professional, volunteer, or otherwise — that you believe is relevant to serving as Three Rivers City Commissioner.

have held various leadership positions while working in the RV industry, in the time I served in the military.

How long have you lived in the area you are seeking to represent?

over 35 years

In your opinion, what are the three most important issues to the area relative to the scope of the position you are seeking, and why?

housing conditions, road conditions and crime.

What measures will you pursue to address those issues?

 I try to bring issues directly to the city manager when either I see them or it’s brought to my attention by my neighbor’s around me.

How would you ensure better protection and service for the most vulnerable and underserved populations in Three Rivers?

making sure that the government does not overstep its authority.

How would you promote transparency and maintain public trust in city government?

by being available 90% of the time and answering any questions the public may have about the government that I can answer.

What values or guiding principles shape your approach to public service?

mainly a family values and old school military guidelines.

Is there anything else your prospective constituents should know about you, your platform, your views, or your background?

I am a libertarian, I believe in separation of church, and state and I try to protect the Constitution as best as I can.
