Letter to the editor: ‘The facts are clear,’ vote for Christin Vukasovich, not Tim Walberg

Editor,
For voters concerned about access to healthcare or paying for their health insurance premiums or prescriptions, Christian Vukasovich is the clear choice for U. S. Congress on Nov. 3.
The facts are clear: The incumbent Tim Walberg voted for the “Big Beautiful Bill” which cut health care for over 30,000 residents of this district alone, either through Medicaid and Medicare cuts or increased insurance premiums. He opposed the $35 monthly insulin cap for seniors, opposed allowing Medicare to negotiate lower drug costs2, voted for an “Age Tax” so insurance companies can charge citizens over 50 more than younger enrollees, and he voted against family and reproductive health services.
Vukasovich believes healthcare is a human right and will work for universal healthcare. He supports a $35 Medicare price cap on insulin, allowing Medicare to negotiate lower drug costs, and an end to price gouging by Big Pharma. He will vote to keep government out of our personal medical decisions.
Walberg voted for tax cuts for the wealthy and price hikes for the rest of us.
It’s time to retire Walberg from the 5th Congressional District and elect Christian Vukasovich.
